Green Cat Hydrogen shortlisted for UK Government funding

Founded in 2022, Green Cat Hydrogen design, build, and operate green hydrogen production facilities. Part of the Green Cat group, they have a range of expertise, covering everything from design and consultancy to planning and contracting of large infrastructure projects.

At the start of their journey, Green Cat Hydrogen received business support from ETP (SPEERI’s energy arm), and we’ve been so pleased by all the success they’ve had on their journey since then.

In recent months, Green Cat Hydrogen has had three of their projects—Creca, Dumfries and Galloway; Binn Ecopark, Perthshire, and Strathallan, Perthshire—shortlisted for the UK Government’s Hydrogen Production Business Model Second Hydrogen Allocation Round (HAR2).

The projects shortlisted represent a total capacity of 70MW and have the potential to save over 40,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. The funding would support Green Cat Hydrogen to deliver green hydrogen production solutions which will help to accelerate decarbonisation across a range of industries and places.

SPEERI are always pleased to see companies we have worked with go on to large funding pots and other successes. Find out more about this exciting news here.
