Scottish Partnership in Energy and Engineering Research & Innovation (SPEERI)
Welcome to SPEERI
The Scottish Partnership in Energy and Engineering Research & Innovation (SPEERI) is the strategic integration of two of Scotland’s long-established collaborative Partnerships, the Energy Technology Partnership (ETP), and the Scottish Research Partnership in Engineering (SRPe), and comprises 14 Scottish Universities working collaboratively with industry, public sector and government to maximise impact in energy and engineering research and innovation.
Through a focused approach, SPEERI raises the profile of Scottish energy and engineering research, adding value for SPEERI’s Scottish University Partners and bringing the benefits of innovation to external stakeholders in industry, public sector and wider society.
SPEERI’s mission is to build on the existing areas of excellence and collaborative working to ensure that Scotland remains a globally competitive driving force in energy and engineering research & innovation by focusing on 3 critical areas:
- Promotion and growth of world leading research based on Scotland’s internationally competitive research base through collaborative activity.
- Translation of research for economic & social impact, through communication, conferences, seminars, workshops, special interest groups, and knowledge exchange activity.
- Skills creation as driver for economic growth, and a fairer, greener Scotland.
